婦人公論「シュール・ブルー」列島水族館巡り Fujin Koron “Surreal Blue” 2023–

Since 2023, Surreal Blue has been a monthly online column in Fujin Koron, featuring the "Japanese Aquariums" series.

Of the roughly 400 paid aquariums worldwide, nearly 150 are in Japan. Aquariums have been the earliest and most enduring subject in my photography—a journey that reaches back to my childhood memories. What do aquariums represent to the Japanese people? Through my photographs and text, I explore that question.

2023年より『婦人公論』にて、「Japanese Aquariums (日本の水族館)」シリーズをテーマとする月刊連載《シュール・ブルー 列島水族館巡り》を掲載している。

世界に約400ある有料水族館のうち、150近くが日本にあるという。私にとって水族館は、最も古くから続くテーマであり、少年時代の記憶をたどる「旅」でもある。日本人にとっての水族館とは何なのか…写真と文で繙いていく。
